Hello and welcome! πŸ’•

Inspired by the time of year I really wanted to give a Halloween vibe for this months blog hop. I pulled some decorative papers in red, purple and orange from Home on the Farm and Dazzling Dahlia paper pads and used black cardstock from my stash.

Snip off one section of the 5 x 7″ archway card base. I inked around the edges of the front of the card base with Black Soot. Die-cut decorative paper with Teardrop Lattice Die and ink the edges with the same ink, add a bit more ink inside the die-cut if you want to make it a bit more spooky! Adhere to the card base.

Die-cut Lattice Flourish in black cardstock and snip off the bottom so the Lattice will sit within the red. Adhere orange behind the die-cut and trim off excess. Do the same with the lower section in purple, ink up before hand. I like to adhere multiple die-cuts when I want them to be a bit more rigid and I did this with the die-cuts in black using 2 layers of black cardstock adhered together.

TIP: Apply dries clear, keeping away from the extreme outside edges of the die-cut, adhere decorative paper behind and use small scissors at an angle to cut off the excess will ensure no poking out pieces.
TIP: If you only have scraps of decorative papers left use scrap over a specific part of the die

Off setting the red posts gives a black shadow behind.

Stamp out Autumn Wreath in black ink onto white cardstock and clear heat emboss. Colour with Zig Clean Colour markers and die-cut.

Die-cut Seasonal Wreath outline die in white cardstock and ink the edges in black. Die-cut a purple wreath, ink the edges in black and adhere over the white. Stamp out your sentiment. Die-cut the holly leaves in black cardstock and adhere over with foam pads.

Assemble the card, adhere the black cardstock arch with dries clear (don’t forget to attach the top of the ribbon to the back prior). Cover the exposed nodes of the lower section with black self adhesive gems and adhere the lower section on foam pads. Tip: leave some foam pads at the bottom exposed so the ribbon can be tucked under and secured. Adhere the wreath over using foam pads and secure your die-cut on and under the black holly some with dries clear and some on foam pads.

I hope you have found my blog helpful and inspiring today and I look forward to seeing your makes on the Heartfelt Creations Official Facebook page.
