152. Peony Gateway

Hello and welcome! πŸ’•

Its always hard making a sympathy card, I am a firm believer these types of cards should be quick and simple. After heat embossing just water down some distress oxides and literally blob the colour on. Let the oxides do the work and the heat emboss image stays nice and clean. Try it with Distress Inks or any watercolours you may have in your stash.

Mat and layer a 6 x 6 β€œ panel onto yellow from the Sweet Magnolia Collection, edge in Pink Peony and adhere to the inside of the card. Mat and layer Sweet Magnolia onto white cardstock 6 1/4” mount with dots onto the front of card, edge designer paper in Pink Peony.
Stamp in Leaf Green Leafy Accents onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Colour in Vivid Chartreuse and die-cut. Edge and colour the back of the leaves with Fern Green. Spritz the die-cut and run through the die-cutting machine in the mold.
Stamp in versamark onto white cardstock Peony Bud and Blossom and white heat emboss.
Smoosh distress oxide onto a craft mat and add water, use a brush to pick up the colour and fill in the buds and blossoms. To get darker tones add more concentrated ink/water ratio to the base of the petals and die-cut.
Multiple die-cut Royal Gateway in white cardstock and adhere together to give dimension. Adhere to the front of the card then adhere with hot glue Leafy Accents, Peony Buds and Blossoms. Paint on Crystal lacquer and add sparkle.
Stamp in Jet Black β€˜In Sympathy’ onto white cardstock and die-cut arrow around, edge in Pink Peony and add with dots.
Add Nuvo drops as water droplets (can use clear hot glue instead)
